Do´s and dont´s for expectant mothers

A new period of life

Pregnancy means the beginning of a new chapter of life for the new parents. For women in particular, the nine months are a valuable time and precisely the right moment to do something specifically for oneself.

Regard for oneself and the child...

...have top priority !!! This means no more overtime at the office and no marathon trips by car. Better to take things a bit more calmly. Allow yourself deliberately time-out every now and then - there is no harm in taking a little nap every afternoon.

Cosy time for two & yet for three !!!

Many women dream of a last romantic holiday with their partner during this time. A last holiday before your baby turns the night into day and your daily routine upside down. The services and treatments which we offer consequently range from relaxing pampering treatments to consultation by the midwife and pregnancy exercises.

Keep it simple...

...and the two magic words for you will be "letting go" and "relaxation". After all, the more calmly pregnancy progresses, the healthier and happier your offspring will be when he/she comes into the world.

Massages & baths

On a pampering holiday during your pregnancy, you will have an opportunity to enjoy calmness, rest and relaxation, but also to have an enjoyable time. Due to the increase and redistribution of the bodyweight during pregnancy, expectant mothers often suffer from tension.

Nothing is better than...

...relaxation massages for the back and neck, for example, or warm baths. Acupuncture massages are also very popular among expectant mothers. Many midwives, too, swear by acupuncture massage since these often shorten the process of childbirth and are guaranteed free of pain and risk. And contrary to tradition, taking saunas can be recommended for mother and child.

Muscles are thus relaxed, the defence mechanism is strengthened and a more rapid elimination of water that has collected in the tissues is promoted. However, you should start regular sauna visits before becoming pregnant to ensure that your body has become accustomed to the strong temperature stimulus.
