Normally, an equipment room is dusty, grey and not particularly worth seeing. However, we want to show you our ecological power station.
Two highly up-to-date block-unit power stations produce not just thermal energy but also a total of 12 kWh of electric current, which, being a "green producer", we pass into the communal electric grid/power supply system.
By way of this energy optimisation, we will be able to save approximately 186,000 litres of heating oil and additionally avoid 189,000 kilograms of harmful CO2 in the next 20 years.
In addition, we use only the ecological products of the Sonett brand from the nearby Deggenhauser valley to clean our Wellness & Spa Centre Helvetia. These special organic cleaning products mirror the Sonett company philosophy: "Cleaning agents and wash products which are mindful of water as the carrier of all living beings".
In order to save other resources and to keep the transport journeys as short as possible, our entire laundry logistics have been relocated to a nearby laundry. As a result of this change-over, the annual delivery traffic has been reduced by 18,000 lorry kilometres which are no longer driven, resulting in a further ongoing CO2 reduction.
It is not always the cost of an investment which matters to us but also its innovative sustainability …. for future generations.
